First golf competition is on Thursday and I have not made a single full speed swing with any club. Today I'll take a pitcher and a 7 iron with me to the range and see what happens. Preparation for this golf season has been more BJJ than golf:-) In golf I tend to be to relaxed or not pushing it. (And when I add a little juice I ruin my swing.) In Bjj I tend to be too tensed - not relaxed enough. (And when I add some effort I will get good positions, but it's ruffing, not BJJ.) There are two very interesting concepts: sensibility and commitment.
With sensibility I mean that you have to feel what you are doing and also feel the environment - golf club or your partneres movements.
With commitment comes determination. You have to trust your game and play it as you see it. If you are going for the flag - go for it. Don't think about bunkers. If you are going for submission, go for it. Do all the moves and see what happens:-)
